Enterprise Link Computing (ELC)
LLD is in the process of developing a completely secure infrastructure that allows IT organizations to remotely protect the content on portable storage devices such as USB keys. The solution, called Enterprise Link Computing, encompasses both hardware and software, and the end result is to provide organizations in the mid market or enterprise segment with a secure way to control information passed around and distributed on USB drives in the field.
The ELC solution is simple: a set of servers in a customer’s datacenter track proprietary ELC USB keys in the field and when or what users can access on those keys. When users attempt to use the key, they must authenticate against the ELC servers, which verifies that both the key and user are authorized. All activities can be tracked and certain operations such as copying files from the USB key can be controlled and managed remotely. A lost key doesn’t expose a company to risk of data theft.
LifeLink Data produces solutions for organizations to reduce risk and protect valuable information out in the field. The unique use of a solution that has both a physical storage component and a set of servers to authenticate and authorize, provides a convenient and secure way to move assets between locations. Since ELC is easily integrated into the existing toolsets IT organizations use to manage their networks and employees every day, the deployment challenges of traditional IT security products are significantly reduced.
LLD looks to be the fast, secure, and easy solution to protect critical information.
Our Products:
The Company’s ELC model is unique and marries the technological advances of smart USB technology with traditional IT security management software to give future customers full-service solutions to enhance the protection, management and interpretation of their data.
LinkDrive™ Server: The LinkDrive Server is a secured set of servers that have been architected to provide the highest degree of security in managing and controlling LinkDrive™ Keys. The LinkDrive™ servers integrate with Directory servers such as LDAP and ActiveDirectory in an organization. The servers track, authenticate, and authorize the USB drives, users, and even the computers on which the drives can be used. Advanced features such as time-expiring drives allows administrators to put time limits on how long a USB drive can be accessed in the field and provides even greater confidence that information is protected at all times.
LinkDrive™ Key: The LinkDrive is a secure, remotely configurable, removable electronic mass storage device that provides customers secure access to applications and their data. The key will come in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage capacity, but provides no ability for an employee or data thief to access its contents without first obtaining approval from the LinkDrive™ Servers.
Software Development Kit (SDK): The SDK system allows VARs to integrate a customer’s application with the LinkDrive™ for centralized administration, data encryption, auditing and user management.
